Curt Brisky - Montana bull elk - 2011

Sept 14, 2011. Montana 5x5 bull elk. Great size for a 5x5.

Dan called him in to me set up at 10 yds. The arrow went through both shoulders, he went 100 yds and laid down. Traditional custom longbow, Maple arrow with Magnus broadhead, Jack Bower chief quiver. What a team effort.

We hiked 12-15 miles a day for 14 days looking for bulls. Too hot for the bulls to rut. Up to 85 degrees some days and down to 20 degrees a couple of nights. Dan got a huge mule deer doe, bigger than any of the bucks we saw the two weeks.
