Dec. 5, 2006 Buffalo Bowhunt - Washington State
After belly crawling in the open sage and snow I finally got an arrow into the Bull. The arrow was buried to the fletch in the kill zone. The Bull ran for 4 hrs.

Osage selfbow, 48” long, 57@27”. Sinew backed with a rattlesnake skin covering. Wood arrow, natural Turkey feathers, Magnus broadhead.

Sept 14, 2011. Montana 5x5 bull elk. Great size for a 5x5.
Dan called him in to me set up at 10 yds. The arrow went through both shoulders, he went 100 yds and laid down. Traditional custom longbow, Maple arrow with Magnus broadhead, Jack Bower chief quiver. What a team effort.
We hiked 12-15 miles a day for 14 days looking for bulls. Too hot for the bulls to rut. Up to 85 degrees some days and down to 20 degrees a couple of nights. Dan got a huge mule deer doe, bigger than any of the bucks we saw the two weeks.
